Thanks for your feedback. In the early 19th century Bangor was a relative large industrial town whose population quadrupled between 1801 and 1841. The opening of the slate quarries of Bethesda - slate was shipped across the world from Bangor, led to many subsidiary industries being established at Bangor including slate processing works, writing slate manufacturing, foundries and major ship building.
Was it really 'a large industrial town' - where was the industry?
